London-based Ukrainians are invited to share their experiences of life in London.
Teatro Vivo and DashArts are working on creating a new theater performance which will be based on real life stories of the migtants from Post-Soviet states. Твистов / Twistov will be a new play inspired by Charles Dicken’s Oliver Twist that will present an extraordinary narrative of London told by post Soviet migrant communities currently living here.
Твистов / Twistov will be a promenade production inspired by Charles Dicken’s Oliver Twist. Due to be staged in 2015/16, Твистов / Twistov will present an extraordinary narrative of London told by post Soviet migrant communities currently living here. Drawing on the parallels with Dickensian London and our contemporary capital we will unearth some rich tales that reveal the underworld, uncover the upper-classes and give you a very different taste of the capital you thought you knew.
The Твистов / Twistov journey starts now. Teatro Vivo will be teaming up with Dash Arts to host 8 workshops across London and are inviting members of the post Soviet community to attend. These workshops will be about sharing stories, telling tales and celebrating Dickens through drama games, improvisation, writing sessions and music creation. They are open to anyone from these communities and each workshop will adapt to suit the participants.
