Ukrainian sculptor Egor Zigura (Kyiv) with his project “Aftertoday” participates in the International Contemporary Art Fair ARTROOMS 2016 (art-rooms.org), on 22.01.2016–25.01.2016 at Meliá White House, Albany St, Regent’s Park, London, NW1 3UP.

ARTROOMS 2016 gathers artists from 65 countries of the world.

By the project “Aftertoday” Egor Zigura mentions that in a social conscience of mankind there exist images of things stable, eternal, everlasting. These are things the one can look at for hours, quietly beholding their unique perfection. And what if these images could look at us? What would they see in our civilization, rapidly changing, weak, uncertain? So many things in the world are changing, not leaving a single trace. Probably, the mankind moves to nowhere?

In the exhibited project are presented artworks “Colossus, which fell”, “Colossus, which stood”, “Colossus, which contemplates”, “Appearing Colossus”, “Disappearing Colossus”, created with mixed materials – bronze, polyether resins, glass.

An organizational support for the participation was provided by s.com.ua – Postmodern Art Gallery.
