A short presentation will take place at the Ukrainian Cathedral, on Sunday, the 19th of March, to inform and introduce to Ukrainian people in London a very important place of national heritage, an archive and a library, which is the biggest library of Ukrainian literature and history in Europe.
The library tightly cooperates with British library, many world famous scientists and writers come there to do their work and research. In its possession the library has one of the first three printed copies of Kobzar. The library was founded by Ukrainians after the WW2 and named after Shevchenko, as they wanted to commemorate his memory into a “life monument” that all people can use and benefit from.
Therefor we believe this presentation will be educational and informative and will help you to discover something new.
