Sunday, 4 September 2016, 16:00 – 18:00
Herrick Gallery 93 Piccadilly, W1J 7NQ London, United Kingdom
Herrick Gallery is delighted to invite you to a special herbal tea tasting ritual with London-based Ukrainian artist Olha Pryymak on Sunday 4th September at 4pm. Olha combines figurative painting and folk remedies to evoke healing and transformation. The tea ritual and related paintings originate from a research trip to rural Latvia. The performance will involve preparing, brewing, and tasting a selection of aromatic herbs, followed by an artist talk and informal discussion.
The event also marks the closing of the gallery’s summer exhibition, SHUFFLE, so please do join us for the last chance to see the show, while tasting some delicious tea!
Olha’s paintings can be seen at Herrick Gallery, including a recent portrait, painted during several sittings at the gallery, of the extraordinary performance artist Pandemonia.
