About the concert:

Nina Matvienko is the one of the well-appreciated and beloved Ukrainian singers. From the moment her musical career started in 1967, her unique voice has been captivating the audiences in Ukraine and abroad. The upcoming concert is the first appearance of Nina Matvienko in London, and it was made possible by the Association of Ukrainian Women in Great Britain (OUZ), which for more than 65 years has been known for its charitable work within the Ukrainian community.

This collaboration is not accidental. Nina Matvienko’s European tour is her initiative to raise funds to battle the devastating consequences of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. So far she gave several fund-raising concerts in the Untied States and Spain and the next on her list are Czech Republic and Great Britain. The proceeds of her London concert will go to support the children that lost a parent in the tragic events of the past year in Ukraine.

The concert will take place in one of the London central venues for the events like semi-staged operas and classical concerts. The Scottish based opera singer of Ukrainian descent Oksana Mavrodii, as well as London-based Natalia Yaroshovets, will be supporting acts for this event.

Additional information:

The doors will open at 6pm, and the concert will start at 6:30pm to end at approximately 9:30. There will be wine and soft drinks available for the additional small donation, and the area to socialise before the event and during the intermission.
