Waltham Cross has a small but active Ukrainian community with a long history going back to the 1960’s. Its Ukrainian Saturday school and CYM ‘oseredok’ have appeared a few times at multicultural festivals put on by the stately home Forty Hall. Suggestion to organize this Ukrainian festival came from a member of the “Friends of Forty Hall”.
Who will attend
It is an open festival aimed at the British public and Urainians, who we know already, are planning to attend.
It will have participants from Waltham Cross and London performing and possibly some further afield.
There will art and crafts exhibition stalls, some stalls selling Ukrainian embroidery and other handcrafts. There will also me stalls of Ukrainian community organisations.
Sunday, September 7
at 12:00pm – 5:00pm
