Multi prizewinner, Ukrainian-born Antonii Baryshevskyi makes his Wigmore Hall debut after winning 1st Prize in the 2014 Rubinstein Competition in Israel.

Antonii Baryshevskyi, born in Kiev, started playing the piano at the age of seven. After finishing a course at Lysenko Special Secondary Music School in Kiev, he entered the National Music Academy of Ukraine, where he is currently studying as a postgraduate with Professor Valerii Kozlov. At the same time, he also studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with Professor Marian Rybicki.
Mr. Baryshevkyi won 2nd prize at the 2011 Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, 1st prize at the “Concurso Internacional de Piano Premio Jaén” and 2nd prize at the 2005 International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz. Winner of the 14th Arthur Rubinstein Piano Competition 2014.
