21-year old Anna Dmytrenko was born in Ukraine and started playing piano at the Mariupol School of Music at the age of five. After her family moved to the United States, she studied at the Music School of Delaware. She is currently studying with Christopher Elton at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Ms. Dmytrenko won 3rd prize at the 2012 New York International Piano Competition, 1st prize at the 2008 Viardo International Piano Competition, 1st prize at the 2005 Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, and was awarded prizes at a variety of other international piano competitions.
Appearing as a concert pianist, Anna has performed at such renowned venues as the Kimmel Center of Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Salle Cortot, Yamaha Salon, St James’s Piccadilly, and Temple Emanu-El.
After moving to the UK, Anna is enjoying performing both solo and chamber music around the country in places like St. Paul’s, Bedford, Windsor Parish Church, St. Mary’s Perivale, and Regent Hall.
On Friday, the 26th of September, Anna will perform the works of Bach and Rachmaninoff at St Martin-in-the-Fields. Everyone is welcome to take this FREE chance of enjoying the classic masterpieces revitalised with Anna’s prominent talent.
